
Team Tommy Z
The 8th Annual Team Tommy Z will hold our "Day in the Park" event on Saturday, October 17, 2009. It will again take place at Laurel Acres Park in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, from 10am to 3pm. This will be the eighth year our team will be hosting this event and since last year was such a success, we are hoping to make this year even better. Once again, all proceeds from the event will go directly to Fox Chase Cancer Center. Last year, even with the economy in a tailspin, we had one of our best years yet and raised over $16,000, in seven years, we have donated over $90,000 to cancer research and prevention!!!

This will be a fun filled family event which consists of our "walk-a-thon", fishing in the lake (NJ license required), beach volleyball, a nature trail, ample space for kite flying, three playgrounds for the kids, a clown and more. Also returning this year 95.7 Ben FM will be there with its Prize Wheel!! We will also hold our "Chinese Auction" and 50/50 raffles. If you or anyone you know has something to contribute, please contact me ASAP!
Since this is a charity event, I ask that all participants contribute a $40.00 registration fee; which includes a team t-shirt, a team souvenir, a picnic lunch (alcohol is NOT permitted) but above all , the majority of registration fees include the TEAM'S donation to FCCC. All team registration fees should be made out to Lorraine Zacierka.
I also ask that everyone try to get at least as many individual sponsors as they did last year-hopefully more!! DON'T FORGET TO ASK CORPORATE SPONSORS!!! (You can direct them to this web site as official verification). I also have a letter from Fox Chase Cancer Center validating this event for anyone who may need it!
If you know anyone who would like to be a t-shirt sponsor, please contact me also!!
Please start collecting your aluminum can tabs (soda and beer cans, pet food, soup cans,etc.) and get them to me. This is just another way to try and bring in more money for the cause, and it's a really easy thing to do!!!
Please feel free to invite as many people to register on our team. The more the merrier. We also welcome back "Millie's Team" (in memory of Millie Mc Shane), Charlene's Team (in memory of Charlene Ludwig), The Dreamcatchers (in memory of Jo-Ann Labenz) and Pop Pop's Sugar (in memory of George Brown). If you know anyone interested in bringing their own team to the event, please contact me ASAP. All are welcome!!!
All individual donations, sponsorships, and/or pledges should be made out to Fox Chase Cancer Center.
If you would like to be a part of Team Tommy Z, please register (using the link below) to let me know that you are coming. I will also need the $40.00 registration fee before September 11, 2009, to help with the costs of the day. Kids under 18 are free and do not need to register; however only registered participants receive team t-shirts.
